The belt is not stiff at all, and doesnt appear to be one that would wrinkle or tear at the bends.
It also smells of fresh leather!
Size-wise, these are large but not huge. I am not a big guy and I do not have a big face, and these fit me fine. But they are not small. The nose piece is coated with rubber rather than the hard plastic of many Maui Jims, and I like it. These are very high end Maui Jims and are worth the money. RJB.
